[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is entertaining and fun to do it is time consuming but if you enjoy building things then this is perfect for kids boy or girl. It’s good for older kids this set 8 and up it has tiny pieces with instructions so easy to follow. It’s durable for a figurine not to play with unless u glue the pieces which I don’t recommend. The shipping was bad because the box and item was crushed so far it seems ok.

Bumblebee looks great in car mode but the whole point is to be able to transform him since he’s a transformer. Terrible design when it comes to transforming him. Falls apart as soon as you start the process. Optimus Prime was easy and looked great in robot mode. Lego should have never messed with the design on this. Now I have a transformer that I can’t transform which was the whole point of the Lego.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great model for anyone especially a Transformers fan, It is a very fun and interesting build. The set looks amazing in both the auto bot form and the car form. The Transforming part is a bit over complicated but other wise fun. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone!

Not a good set, a transformer that can't transform

I bought it since I grew on watching G1 Transformers back in the 80's and since I already have Optimus Prime. This set is a big disappointment, while the build itself was fun the end result is just plain bad, Bumblebee can't transform without lots of pieces falling apart. It is very frustrating and perhaps the worst lego set, in terms of build quality, that I've ever had. This set was rushed into market without a good engineering. buyers beware!

If your set seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be. You'll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together.
