Amazing looks, slightly difficult transformation

This guy looks great in both robot and bug mode. He also look amazing next to Optimus with a realistic scale. There is some difficulty when transforming from bug to robot but as you practice it gets easier. Overall it is great and hoping Megatron and Starscream may be coming soon.

It's easy to build and well made. My only complaint is that it's top heavy when transformed into bumblebee so it's kind of hard to stand up.

Bumblebee in brick

This set is spot on in capturing the look and feel of the '80 version of our favorite sidekick character, Bumblebee, in lego form. Starting at the front of the vehicle mode and building your way to the back of the car you can slowly see Bee take his iconic VW Bugg appearance with little easter eggs that I won't spoil here. Then at the end, you have the option to either leave him there in that form or "Transform" him converting him into the brave yellow bot we all remember without having to take the model apart. Lego has knocked this one out of the part as they also did with the Optimus Prime set. Great job guys!

Easy build, but very flimsy

Very easy one day build but when it came to transforming…every time we moved one piece another would pop off. We got this after he finished Optimus Prime and being very happy with it. Bumblebee is my son’s favorite transformer and he was so excited but was super bummed out after not being able to transform it and we decided to leave it as a car. Even that took some time to put back together.

This was a great set. It was a medium level build. You build the car first then at the end he transforms into the robot. This has become one of my favorites
