Poor design

Stand is horrible, it tilts with the slightest movement. Parts start to fall off, leading to more headache reassembling. I’ve built many advanced sets and this is by far the worst. Would not recommend it.

Nice but FRAGILE

So I’ve built a number of the Star Wars models and I did love the design of this. My biggest issue is this thing is absolutely the most fragile set I’ve ever built. I don’t know if the quality of LEGO pieces have gone down or just the inherent design but this thing falls apart at the drop of a hat. Don’t touch it, don’t move it, don’t look at it too intently or it will burst into shards. I spent 2 hours trying to get it back together after a one of the wings fell off because there are no grip points and trying to put any piece back on just broke more off. It pains me to say this because I do love these sets but, goodness this one is rough.

I wish I hadn't wasted the money

This thing is a nightmare. Parts have to be disassembled to fit them. Pieces that are held on by one stud fall off constantly during construction. There are errors in the instructions. This really need to go through more testing and reviews before hitting the market.

Tie Intercepting my childhood

I looked at various sets around this price point before finally settling on this set and was very happy with my decision. Not having gotten a set for myself in some time (14 years), I was amazed at the quality of not only the build but the thoroughness and added craftsmanship of the manual as well with bonus artwork and heritage section. Overall with some breaks this build took me roughly 6 hours with my 9 year old joining in to help and be involved. What an awesome finished product where the scale and detail felt deeply rewarding to reflect on. I hope to add the similar X-wing set to my collection soon.

Great set

This was a really great set. The first couple of bags building the cockpit were my favorite. It was awesome to see the cockpit develop as you progressed. All the stickers were in the cockpit but worth it. They look awesome. The stand is nice and it looks great angled. All in all a fun build. The wings were a bit repetitive but it’s to be expected when all 4 are the same. That didn’t take anything away from the fun and even all 4 wings were cool to assemble. Some of the ways the pieces went together were like no other build I’ve ever done before. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Nice Build

The model is large and I can appreciate the small details added. Be careful when attaching the internal cockpit panels (little black triangles with stickers) as I had one pop out while attaching the outside shell plating. This was a me problem (not inserting them firmly enough) and not a design problem. I'm not sure about the complaints about the stand as mine is sturdy and held the model firmly in place during assembly of the solar panel arrays. The only critical thing I can say is the attachment of the laser cannons as they're only attached by one stud. Overall, great display set and good build.

I'm not sure if I loved Lego or Star Wars first. Regardless, this is the perfect fusion of the two. The only issue I have with it is that you can't fully inspect the amazingly detailed cockpit without dismantling a bit. Almost want a little periscope camera so you can get a pilot's view. This instantly launched into my top three sets halfway through the build. Sturdier than I expected and near flawless replica of the studio model. Kudos the designer!
