Fun build. Some delicate pieces/assembly and a few steps to really pay close attention to. But that's half the fun. Only complaint is the ridiculous prices for these things... and a couple missing pieces that I had to order.

Best UCS Set I Own

I own about 5 or so UCS sets and I think that this one looks the best and is the most solidly built. It isn’t too massive where you are spending almost $1000 but it is big enough to feel like a set for adults. Everything comes together really nicely, no weird gaps or anything.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Reissue of a fierce imperial fighter

Model looks fantastic. Price was fair. However, not unlike other kits, lego keeps using white writing on light colored backgrounds in their instruction manuals. Why not use black print on light backgrounds?

I have owned the original 1999 version of the UCS Tie Interceptor since I was a kid and Lego did a wonderful job recreating this awesome set! This build was a great trip down memory lane and it displays perfectly!

First off this is a very attractive piece once assembled and the stand is a nice added touch. Would mention that the cockpit posed some challenges so agree with the overall age rating. Parents if you're thinking about getting this for younger children I'd recommend not. It can be a bit frustrating snapping parts together and the price tag for this one doesn't come cheap. Definitely in my opinion meant to be a display piece. Looks great positioned across from the X-Wing Fighter. If you don't have that one and have a few dollars to spend (same price a Tie Intercepter) then I'd highly recommend pairing them on a desk or shelf. Only drawback I have is what appears to be an ever increasing price margin. It you're a die hard builder or collector, like myself, you'll most likely pay the price to continue building. Even though it hits the bank account a little hard. I have to remember I'm not 20 anymore but 50, and things tend too increase in price.
Overall this is a great piece to add to any collection. Little pricey but well worth the time to build and if you are a Star Wars fan, which I certainly am, you should certainly add this piece to your collection.
