[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tie Interceptor is one of my favorite exclusive lego sets to far. It's massive, worth the money, and super fun! I'm super happy with it and totally recommend buying it!

The set is a wonderful build and on par for the price point. When finished it will look great for anyone looking to add to their Lego Star Wars collection.
While some of the build is redundant it isn’t difficult and therefore not boring or frustrating.
The one negative from my perspective is the stickers included that provide the detail to the cockpit. These stickers have to be placed on triangular pieces and while anyone building this should have no problem doing so, UCS sets should have printed pieces considering the sets collectability and price point. With that said it’s not enough of a negative to knock the set in any way.
Wonderful set overall and I highly recommend the purchase. There are 22 bags each of similar size and with an appropriate amount of pieces to allow you to progress at a nice pace.

First off this is a very attractive piece once assembled and the stand is a nice added touch. Would mention that the cockpit posed some challenges so agree with the overall age rating. Parents if you're thinking about getting this for younger children I'd recommend not. It can be a bit frustrating snapping parts together and the price tag for this one doesn't come cheap. Definitely in my opinion meant to be a display piece. Looks great positioned across from the X-Wing Fighter. If you don't have that one and have a few dollars to spend (same price a Tie Intercepter) then I'd highly recommend pairing them on a desk or shelf. Only drawback I have is what appears to be an ever increasing price margin. It you're a die hard builder or collector, like myself, you'll most likely pay the price to continue building. Even though it hits the bank account a little hard. I have to remember I'm not 20 anymore but 50, and things tend too increase in price.
Overall this is a great piece to add to any collection. Little pricey but well worth the time to build and if you are a Star Wars fan, which I certainly am, you should certainly add this piece to your collection.

TIE Interceptor

This is my first TIE Interceptor set. Build experience had some great techniques. Always a fan when System and Technic pieces are used in the same set. Only issue is that a signature set like this should have print pieces instead of stickers.

I have owned the original 1999 version of the UCS Tie Interceptor since I was a kid and Lego did a wonderful job recreating this awesome set! This build was a great trip down memory lane and it displays perfectly!
