I missed out on the UCS Tie Fighter and I wasn’t missing out on this. I love how big the wings are. The way they’re locked in from the front to the back, allowing for a very secure hold is a genius move. Kind of wished the stand allowed it to display it tilted. I messed with it to make it stand up straighter. But overall I’m glad I bought it.
This build was awesome, i used most of the stickers in the first couple bags that make for a highly detailed cockpit. The instructions book is filled with facts about the tie interceptor and also states what movie it's seen in. Great set overall.
Build was fun! Was gonna get the Interceptor with the snub fighter but I'm glad I went with this one instead. The UCS are normally super satisfying and this one did not disappoint.
From Vader's Tie Advanced 10175 to the Tie Fighter 75095 Lego continues to advance on the sphere shape of the cockpit. This design created many one stud attachment methods. While necessary it allows for the pieces to move when touched and thus once the build is complete it cannot be handled without repositioning pieces. This creates a very low "playability" with UCS sets they are more models, but I found the movement frustrating when building. I'm very pleased with the wing design. Very solid, and both sides have great details. The cockpit of this UCS is crown jewel. So many display panels. The detail is amazing. While I dislike UCS sets using stickers, I did appreciate the level of detail that went into the model. Great set and even better price considering the last couple UCS sets were very expensive.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lego's have never been a 'cheap' hobby, but in my opinion, spending time with friends, kids, and even my grandkids playing with Legos has always been worth it. This was a fantastic build with my son, who is also a Star Wars Lego enthusiast.
