New Zerowater 12-CUP Ready-Read

I purchased the new design 12-cup unit with the spigot about 3-weeks ago after having read how well Zerowater does at filtering out impurities. I like the looks, the spigot works well, the water taste great, but the pour spout leaks big-time whenever I use that feature - and I use that feature a lot. For this reason, I can't recommend this design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great filter system!

I am loving this purchase. I was avoiding tap water like the plague - but because of the general lack of glass container packaging in spring water, I was purchasing plastic packaged spring water. Come to learn that plastic packaged spring water is even more toxic that tap water because of the "forever chemicals" leaching into the water from the plastic; which is arguably worst than the toxins found in tap. So in comes Zero Water filter system, with its 5 stage system - and voilá - safe water to drink!!!

Great dispenser that just needs a better top

I would have given this 5 stars had it not been for the top of the dispenser, which is really difficult to remove. Once it’s locked into place it’s very challenging to lift off. I bought this for my elderly mother so that she would not have to lift a pitcher to pour from. However, we have to leave the top askew do that she can lift it and refill. Otherwise, it’s ideal.

Horrible design 12-cup pitcher

This pitcher's design doesn't work: the water for whatever reason does not pass through the filter. At first I thought the issue was happening at the spigot level but that is not it. Then I figured out it was the filter so I poked holes to allow more water to be filter and that seemed to work for a while. And then we get to today with the water not filtering after 30 mins. After it happened the first time, I googled this pitcher and came upon several websites discussing the same issue I was having, offering solutions that I tried but still did nothing. At this point, this pitcher is defective and it is simply Zerowater's laziness that keeps this product out in the market.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. From time to time the filter can develop an air lock, some little air pockets or air bubbles that get trapped down inside the filter. Typically this is an easy and quick fix, simply remove the filter from the container and unscrew it from the tray. Then hold the filter sideways/horizontal and grip the filter very tightly and shake the filter with some good force side to side and back and forth 8 to 10 times. This will loosen the filter media and break the air lock.

Fantastic company

Went for standard ZW pitcher, all the store had was this one, long story short, my hand constantly hit the valve, it just didn’t work for us. Called Zerowater and they made it right, no questions asked, they take customer service seriously. …and the water filtration system speaks for itself, 5 stars.
I will always use this water purification brand going forward.

Truly Pure Water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was dumbfounded after using my ZeroWater to find out how bad my water coming out of our tap is. 30 years in my house and I have always thought it was clear of anything. I then tested it with the TDS meter that comes with the ZeroWater. Wow was I surprise when it read between ~225 and 275, as I kept sampling the water hoping for a lower number. I then filtered it in through the ZeroWater filtration system, tested it, and it was absolutely pure with a reading of 0 on the meter. It was pretty amazing that in less than a minute, all the impurities were removed. I use my pitcher all the time now for drinking water, making coffee in the morning and pitchers of iced tea, which all taste better now. It’s the perfect size to fit nicely in my refrigerator. The tester has a slot on the front of the pitcher, so it monitors the water as I’m dispensing it. Evan after several weeks of filtering water almost every day, it’s still reading 0. Although, it is scary to think what was in my water in the past, I now know it’s not there anymore. The ZeroWater filtration pitcher truly gives me pure water, and I’m extremely happy to know what is in my water now, NOTHING!!
