Fits great in new refrigerator, but....

In order to maximize shelf space on a newly purchased refrigerator, we purchased the 12 cup ready read. The 10.162 inch height was perfect in order to maximize shelf locations and space. Had the regular pitcher for many years. We are true believers. Anyway, like others, the pitcher leaks when pouring from the spout, doesn't hold much water in the refill reservoir and needs 3-4 times to fully refill, the meter doesn't set well to actually "ready read", and lastly, carrying the pitcher from sink to refrigerator sometimes causes a leak when your hand is too low on the handle and accidentally touch the trigger. Poor overall design. Height is still great though. A wider base with same height would increase capacity. And the lid needs a redesign. Screw on? Capacity seems much lower than previous pitcher.

Difficult to remove lid

I have had two Zero filter pitchers. This is by far my favorite BUT...the lid is extremely difficult to remove and finally the "push tab" broke off. Now I can't use it as a pitcher when there is water in the upper chamber. I was going to get a second one to keep in my RV, but not sure I want to face the thumb challenge with the lid.
I would recommend this to a friend!
