Winner, Winner Over Another Side by Side!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After researching multiple refrigerators, I kept coming back to this GE. I have always had good experience with GE appliances, and this was the style I wanted. The size was a most important factor, as it had to fit in a specific space.

Cools well, Freezes well. Freezer capacity is a little limited. Ice cube often miss the tray. Very quiet.

Nice looking fridge, but flawed

This is an updated review, but GE won't accept it - says "duplicate error". Good looking fridge and excellent climate control with generous capacity. But several annoying features: bottom fridge is clunky and spills ice cubes out occasionally; split top shelf is useless and annoying; filter replacement, they say, is easy - not true; usually have to open both doors, with consequential loss of cool air; wish is were quieter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Be sure the bucket is properly positioned directly under the icemaker. Make sure the feeler arm is not broken. The feeler arm is either a metal rod on the side of the icemaker or a plastic paddle that sits horizontal under the icemaker.

We'd like to lend a hand with the temperature of your refrigerator. There are a few things we recommend checking that may help resolve this.
Food load is an important factor. The fresh food drawers and compartment should ideally be at least 1/2 full or more. Freezing is more likely to occur when the unit does not have enough food to absorb the cold air. Make sure the drawers/bins are at least 1/2 full. If the drawer has an adjustable temperature feature and items are freezing, adjust the drawer to a warmer temperature setting.

Open door alarm needs to be louder
