Too much noise.

The motor rattles and makes squeaking noises constantly. Has done it since day 1. The shelves are located at poor levels. Lack of shelf space. Does not hold much at all. Would not buy again.

We would like to help you with the sound level of your refrigerator. Rattling sounds can be considered normal when the icemaker is turned on but not connected to a water supply. If your unit is not hooked up to water, we recommend turning the icemaker off.

Rattling sounds may also occur when a new refrigerator's door gasket is sealing very tightly. This sound is typically temporary and should stop within a few days as the gasket becomes more pliable. new fridge

I very much appreciate the fingerprint resistant stainless steel, and the beeping if door is left open was annoying at first, but I do think it is helpful. I have had vegetables freeze in the drawer and on the upper shelves, despite the temperature setting being at the suggested one.
I do not think the capacity is as good as my older 2 door fridge. And the pull out freezer is difficult -- the drawer seems unstable and does not hold nearly as much as a door freezer.

Nice looking fridge, but flawed

This is an updated review, but GE won't accept it - says "duplicate error". Good looking fridge and excellent climate control with generous capacity. But several annoying features: bottom fridge is clunky and spills ice cubes out occasionally; split top shelf is useless and annoying; filter replacement, they say, is easy - not true; usually have to open both doors, with consequential loss of cool air; wish is were quieter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Be sure the bucket is properly positioned directly under the icemaker. Make sure the feeler arm is not broken. The feeler arm is either a metal rod on the side of the icemaker or a plastic paddle that sits horizontal under the icemaker.

We'd like to lend a hand with the temperature of your refrigerator. There are a few things we recommend checking that may help resolve this.
Food load is an important factor. The fresh food drawers and compartment should ideally be at least 1/2 full or more. Freezing is more likely to occur when the unit does not have enough food to absorb the cold air. Make sure the drawers/bins are at least 1/2 full. If the drawer has an adjustable temperature feature and items are freezing, adjust the drawer to a warmer temperature setting.
