I like almost everything about the refrigerator, except the water dispenser inside. The dispenser is a tiny tube that sticks out to dispense water. Water gushes out, dispensing a sudden, forceful stream of water, causing the water to miss the glass, spilling on the shelf below. Also, every time you push the dispenser button, the water filter makes a loud knocking noise. I solved part of the problem by placing a sponge in the area where the water spills, and that does help, but you have to remember to remove the sponge when you open the drawer above. I also connected a long, flexible straw to the spout dispenser to help guide the water into a glass. A second 8 glass of water is not cold when it comes out, if more than 8 ounces have just been dispensed before that one. I do like the half shelf for tall items and the large bins that hold gallon containers, but the small bottom shelves on each door are so small that only cans of soda will fit in there. The vegetable bins are barely large enough to hold a small head of lettuce, a large onion, and a couple of tomatoes. I wish I had read more reviews before I purchased this refrigerator.

We’d like to help improve the water flow and temperature from your dispenser. One common reason for water to spurt from the dispenser is the installation of a new water filter cartridge. To resolve this, we recommend running water through the dispenser for about 3 minutes (approximately 1.5 gallons). This helps clear any air or loose particles from the system.
As for the water temperature, this unit is designed to chill the water supply while it's not in use. However, it's normal for the first glass or two to be less cool if the dispenser hasn’t been used for an extended period. To address this, we suggest running the dispenser until the internal reservoir is emptied. After that, it will take several hours for the supply to fully chill again.
If your issue persists after troubleshooting, we recommend scheduling service with one of our Bodewell technicians by calling 1-833-426-3393 or visiting us online at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm.
We will pass your comments about the shelving configuration to our product design team.
Capacity is not up to the some other brands. Food periodically freezes, shelving is substandard and cheaply put together. Ice maker keeps making ice and falls into the drawer area. Eventually, I will put this fridge in the garage and go back to LG.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're here to support you with your new refrigerator. We see that a service appointment was scheduled and we're confident the matter will be resolved by a Bodewell technician. In the meantime, we're happy provide you with some helpful tips:
The shelves and bins of this unit are adjustable. We recommend referring to the owner's manual starting with page 16. Here is the link: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--tNS_f22X--/r8svo2jeezevledqxfti.pdf
You can also refer here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/refrigerators/refrigerator-capacity-organization.htm
As far as the ice overflowing, there are a few things you can check that may fix this issue. Please refer here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16934
Capacity size fits our needs and the counter depth is perfect. No problems with keeping things cool and the noise level is okay. Shelving options are good. We don’t like the way the ice dispenses and then drops down to the bottom of the freezer compartment when it’s full and the freezer door is opened. We liked the idea of the water dispenser being inside the door; however, we wish the button for dispensing was easier to push and hold. Overall, it’s aesthetically nice, cools well, and has well organized utility.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are excited to hear that you are enjoying your new refrigerator and its layout. Your feedback is extremely important to us, and we will be sure to pass these comments regarding the ice dispenser and the water dispenser button along to our product team for review.
So far, we are happy with the performance along with the fit and finish on our new fridge. I am one of those customers that believe in regular maintenance/cleaning of the product to assure prolonged performance. Having two Great Danes does require we stay on top of maintenance. I am having trouble finding directions on the recommended method for cleaning the condenser on this new refrigerator? I am hoping to learn the process long before I need to perform it. If I am missing something, please let me know. Thanks.
Fridge looks great and is nice and spacious. The freezer is not as large but it’s fine. The bottom drawer in the fridge isn’t divided, so you have to open both doors if you open the drawer, which is kind of a pain. But overall solid product so far!
