We went to the OSU Notre Dame game and it worked great for a spectacular victory for the Buckeyes after the game.

Used this now for on summer family camping as well as several Cub Scout activities at night. Setup is easy and the hard sided case is great for campouts. The light output is a nicer warmer color light. On it's dimmest setting it's perfect for late night, and on it's brightest it's like a stadium! It's not cheap, but well worth the value.

Bright!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bright is an understatement for this light. It’s unreal how bright this light is. This travel light comes in a nice tube with an easy carry strap (it’s not too heavy). Set up is a breeze and there are multiple height options which are great. I really like the flexibility of the lights. I do wish I could twist them though right now you can only turn them up or down. The reason I’m knocking it a star is the because of the plug. I with this was a usb c or something different. Maybe it needs to have an aux plug but it really limits you. I think it would be more usable with a different charging source. Overall though this is going to be great for our evening outdoor activities and camping

I am glad I ordered this product from your company, what a great item to have around when you need it. We always have power outages, and this is a great item that has been added to many of Goal Zero products that I own. It is very easy to use and setup, very easy to carry and a great design of the carrying case that it comes in. It came already pre-charged, but I charged it up the rest of the way with my Yeti 3000X. The light is produces is amazing, I have yet to set it up at night to really see the results (can't wait). My friend was amazed on how the product runs off the rechargeable battery and how small that is on this device. He was waiting for me to plug it into my Yeti because he thought that is what was needed to turn the Skylight on, he will be ordering one too.
I definitely recommend this Skylight from Goal Zero to anyone who lives in areas with power outages or just for general use, it is well worth the price tag amount.

Comes in a light but durable case, with a built in sling that keeps the cap attached. It’s easier to set up, adjust, and breakdown to return to storage when completed. Controls are simple, battery indication is easy to read. Good power cord management. Solid overall design

As far as impulse purchases go, this was a good one. Useful right out of the box - no assembly required! The included and craftily packaged leg spikes is an added bonus. I would have liked to see the engineering be a little more creative by adding an integrated charging solar panel to the top cap of the unit so that it could charge itself while sitting out at the campsite during the day - a seemingly simple add-on.

A Powerful Illuminator for Work and Camping: Goal Zero Skylight Portable Area Light
on October 3, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Goal Zero Skylight Portable Area Light is a versatile and powerful lighting solution designed for both work and camping environments. With its impressive 6000 lumens output, this LED light offers excellent illumination in various settings. After thoroughly testing this product, here's my review:
Firstly, the Skylight's brightness is truly remarkable. Whether you're working on a construction site, fixing a car, or setting up camp in the dark, this light will provide ample visibility to get the job done. The 6000 lumens output ensures a wide coverage area, effectively lighting up large spaces without any noticeable dark spots.
Portability is another standout feature of this area light. The compact and lightweight design makes it easy to transport and set up wherever you need it. The built-in handle allows for convenient carrying, and the collapsible tripod stand ensures stability on uneven terrain. Whether you're hiking to a remote campsite or moving between workstations, the Skylight is a reliable companion.
The Skylight also boasts impressive durability. Constructed with rugged materials, this light can withstand rough handling and is resistant to water and dust. This makes it suitable for outdoor adventures, where unpredictable weather conditions may arise. The solid build quality instills confidence that it can handle the rigors of demanding work environments as well.
One feature that could be improved is the battery life. While the Skylight does provide a decent runtime, the high brightness level can drain the battery faster than expected. It is advisable to have spare batteries on hand for longer usage periods. However, the light does come with a USB port, allowing you to conveniently charge devices on the go, which is a nice added bonus.
In terms of functionality, the Skylight offers three different lighting modes: high, medium, and low, allowing you to adjust the brightness according to your needs. The intuitive controls and user-friendly interface make it easy to switch between modes and customize your lighting experience.
Overall, the Goal Zero Skylight Portable Area Light is an excellent lighting solution for both work and camping scenarios. Its impressive brightness, portability, and durability make it a versatile companion for various outdoor activities. While the battery life could be improved, the light's performance and reliability make it a worthy investment. Whether you're a professional in need of reliable illumination or an outdoor enthusiast seeking a reliable camping light, the Skylight is a solid choice.

I bought this when it first came out and tested it the following week up in the Uinta mountains. It gave off great light and didn’t use much power from my yeti 1500x.
