I love the versatility of all in one Microphone with high power. I use for family connection and I will be buying a second soon. I am thinking of setting up a repeater and that will even add to the versatility. I may purchase the MXT 500 for home and have a great set up. Midland has great quality equipment which is straight forward and simple to use. I will be ordering some higher gain antennas but am surprised how well the antenna provided works.

I used this MXT575 to replace a 2-week old MTX275 ... they are very similar. There was nothing wrong with the 15Watt radio, but I just wanted bigger.
Getting to run it on a repeater was slightly complicated in that I wasn't sure what I was doing, but a friend helped me immensely. I'm learning.
Quality of broadcasting is terrific and even if I don't use the local repeater, I get a lot --- LOT of coverage!

I have had their 15w version of this MicroMobile and hoped it would have just a bit more power. Well, now I don't have to hope. Wish it would come with some other antenna options.
