Easy to install and easy to use. I haven't had the chance to test out range yet but so far I am getting transmissions which I cannot get with my handheld. The cherry is that I was able to hide the unit under the dash which keeps my mind at ease when I'm driving around without the top.

The MTX575 is powerful and compact. I bought this radio so that I would have full use of 50 watts, but be able to stash the base out of sight and plug in the mic/control head when needed. Haven’t used it much yet, but look forward to many years of use!
