Easy to install and easy to use. I haven't had the chance to test out range yet but so far I am getting transmissions which I cannot get with my handheld. The cherry is that I was able to hide the unit under the dash which keeps my mind at ease when I'm driving around without the top.

I'm so excited about the Midland mxt 575 a must buy thanks to Midland a year ago I wanted to buy a mxt 275 model but I wanted a 50 watt radio I email Midland and they informed me they will be coming out with a 50 watt radio soon but because of the COVID stuff it might take longer then expected.so I didn't buy the mxt 275 and just waited.custmer service was great fast shipping.i will always get Midland products from now on

Wow the Range!! 575 Review coming from 275

We installed our new 575 last week. We were using the 275 before and it was a great radio with strong range in the Dallas Metroplex near 5-6 miles. The 575 is a major game changer. We had a friend running the 275 and said he could hear us (though we were broken up) at a gps indicated 25 miles and we were solid, crystal clear, at 18 miles. In the city, that seems unreal. I am looking forward to more trips with other 575 users to really test the limits of what the real-world range can actually be. Go and get this radio, today! You won't regret it.

We are super excited to have the MXT 575 GMRS radio from Midland. Coming from a Midland MXT 400 40-watt radio. We absolutely love our MXT 400. It has never given us any issues, and we did not expect anything less than great from the new MXT 575. Boasting an impressive 50 watts we did not experience have any issues communicating during our offroad excursions and trips which had distances of 10 miles in-between radios on mountainous terrain in Flagstaff Arizona. The MXT 575 has all the controls and adjustment on the hand mic which is a layout I personally love. By doing so you can tuck the radio away and control everything on the hand mic. However, you could also leave the radio visible to take advantage of the USB C charging port on the radio. We used that USB C daily to keep our phones and tablets charged. Absolutely no issues came from the USB C port. Some features that stood out to us on the MXT 575 are as follows 15 channels, 8 repeater channels, 142 privacy codes, water resistant IP66, repeater capable, NOAA weather alerts, and silent operation mode. In closing we have to say we have loved this radio as we put it through its paces. This radio packs a huge punch in a compact package. Recommend the MXT 575 to all.

The MXT575 is the perfect radio! The base unit tucks away nicely just about anywhere in your vehicle and because the handheld has all the control features I can easily unhook the handheld and store it away until I need to use it.

Upgraded our original MXT275 with this new MXT575… the extra power - wow, 50w goes a long way. We love it!
Having all the controls within “finger reach” is super convenient, and definitely saves space in the cabin. Perfect for smaller vehicles or if you just like the clean look like we do.

Killer power with controls at the ready

I love this thing. 50W of power combined with all of the controls right on the handheld is everything I've been needing. It's a bit tight in my rig and adjusting settings at the base station was a bit cumbersome before the MXT575 came into my life. I also really enjoy the quick charging port right on the front as it's how I charge my drone controller!
