why do I have to fill out my email address ?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barely a month old and the ice dispenser breaks. It literally broke the gear below the ice holder and cracked the PLASTIC housing. Maybe go back to better quality parts. Plastic just doesn't hold up. It's not like I could abuse the icemaker. Just hold the container below & push into the button.
Very disappointed, not looking forward to the future of this one.
My last one was almost 20 years old. I replaced the icemaker about 10 years ago, but that is almost expected after that much time.
The only reason we bought new was the old one needed painted, big mistake. I should of painted it.

Things you need to know

2 things ......
1) no butter shelf..how strange
2) thought someone broke down my door only to realize it was the ice maker kicking in. Scared me half to death
3) I lied, there is another issue . So LOUD. My 35 year old Kennmore on its last legs was much quieter.

It's okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very noisy. Constantly hummimg. I switched from a french door to a side by side that had more cubic space. I find it difficult to manage the room. It actually feels smaller than my previous fridge.
I do love the smaller ice cubes that it makes. They fit much better in all styles of glassware

Works but is noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator is noisy. It has a constant motor noise which by itself is not unusual at all except it is at an annoying high pitch that is always there.
The water dispenser makes a LOT of noise when just getting water. The ice-machine works but the cubes are on the small side. It is also very noisy especially when simply refilling with water.

Fridge looked in good condition and was only a couple years old when we bought our house. Now a year later this fridge keeps shutting off needing to be unplugged for 10 minutes before it will start cooling again. Fridge has a manufactured date of 202110, which isn't even 4 years old. Do better Whirlpool. My last fridge from a two letter brand made it 9 years, and was still going when we left.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
