Worth the price

Plugged in the USB and it worked immediately. Tested the cam and mic and they are both nice quality. The clip on the back is very stable and you can close it to any width of laptop or monitor screen you're clipping it onto, or attach to a tripod, or just rest it flat on a shelf or something. Didn't want a super cheap one and since there's not as much available right now, I was looking at reviews of other brands that had some mic trouble or driver trouble or things and I decided to go for this one even though I was hoping for something a bit cheaper. I think it's worth it though, very happy with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thought I bought a high quality webcam

My boyfriend and I bought this webcam earlier today because it was recommended by one of the employees. We needed a webcam for my boyfriend to be able to do an online exam, it required to be HD and thought well might as-well invest into a nice quality camera. Earlier I bought a camera that runs 1080p HD for $18 but the microphone wasn't quality at all. So when we tried this camera we had high expectations, the microphone worked a lot better than the other one. Unfortunately, the quality was just about the same and when we got to the point where he needed to show a clear photo of his ID to the camera it was unable to autofocus. We are extremely disappointed with this camera.
My suggestion is that if you need a camera to do exams and stuff DON'T GET THIS ONE.

The camera worked fine out of the box. Plugged into my Asus (Win 10) & camera worked.
manual and product description indicated features you can use from their camera software. What a surprise when I tried to upload the software only to find I need to pay ten bucks a month for the service.
Not very honest advertising.

Download site in manual,points to a Dead 404 link on Avermedia site. So the included recording software RECentral shown as included in the best buy description is not in the box not downloadable. So there is no free recording software with it, as stated on Best buy not in the box manual. You will need to buy software to record live streams.

Webcam for home office desktop

Nice features/package. Does the job and is pretty well plug and play in Windows 10 envir. Not able to install latest drivers to improve background in low light (not administrator).
