Just awful!

I was just looking for something to video chat with my family since they’re so far away. Do something cheap but could also do the work. This camera was awful from the beginning, it connects and works with windows 10 but goodluck trying to get their “avermedia cam engine” to work, not only that you have to download 6 different things to get it installed, I saw the picture quality after all the headache and it was grainy and pixelated so that was it for me I returned it and got a Logitech camera that’s actual hd 1080p for $20 more. So my advice is to spend the extra $20.

Noisy, low quality camera, no mac support

Image quality is grainy and saturated on this camera, and the software does not have Mac support. The software on Windows does not perform well, causes crashes, and doesn't resolve the brightness / saturation issues that area evident with the default settings.
Beware of this camera! Do a quick google to see that most reviews of this camera off of this site are horrible.

The Cam313 Live Stream playback is problematic

The recording playback picture is of excellent resolution. However, the problem is there are black bars surrounding the recording playback as if it was in a frame, when it's played back on my computer monitor. The area of black color is about half the size of my screen monitor. Happens with every recording. I adjusted to the aspect ratio to 1920x1080. I sent a screenshot to Tech support and I am currently getting the run around. No specific possible solutions to this problem.

The privacy shutter is very flimsy and moves into the open position with very little resistance. Not worth the money. Also no focus, so always a little fuzzy.

Purchased for my kid's remote learning class, as his school issued Chromebook stopped working properly for streaming. Hooked this up to our gaming PC and only had to restart his classroom for the camera to be recognized. Classmates and Teacher all commented on the clarity of the image and no lag as his Chromebook had. Uses a headset for listening and talking so we have not checked out the mic so this is image only review. Clipped onto a curved monitor with no issues and is secure. The lens cover, a necessity, is a great feature to have. Very happy with purchase on the Black Friday sale

An OK camera

I was surprised by the subpar performance of this camera (I guess I fell for marketing and sponsored reviews in the media and my expectations were higher than was warranted). My biggest issues are the unimpressive image quality and over-saturated colours this camera delivers. I own several other cameras (all different brands, and only one of them is from a big player in this space), and this one is an utter mediocrity compared to the rest. I got it while it was on sale at a substantial discount (and that is the reason I did not return it right away).

Garbage, dont waste your money

For a product that is supposed to be plug and play, make sure it works when you release it... Its a constant screen flicker, no ability to actually see the image the camera sees. I talked to AVerMedia about it on their reddit and was told it must be my computer's USB ports. This is a laughable excuse for a garbage product. No troubleshooting tips or anything, just "Well it can't be OUR fault..."
Spend your money on something else.

Seems good, easy to use

The main thing I want to say is that this is not really huge, as it appears in the photos. It's very small and unobtrusive, easily sits solidly on top of my monitor. I plugged it in and there it was, without even a message about how there was new hardware and it would think about installing it. It's much clearer than the camera built into my aging all-in-one computer, and people have said that the sound is fine. It shows up wherever I look for my audio and video devices.
There is a little slider thing for privacy that I don't understand. When not covering the camera, it covers part of the microphone - I don't know if that mutes some of the sound or not, and I don't know if it's removeable.
I would recommend this to a friend!
