Great Teleprompter

Fantastic product! I bought this a few weeks back and have been using it frequently for Zoom meetings. I love being able to look right at the camera. It works great with my Nikon Z6 with a Z-Mount 50mm lens on it. Due to the length of the lens, I can't use the L bracket, but I took their advice and used their Heavy Clamp and Flex Arm to add extra support to the prompter itself so it wouldn't pull on my camera mount ball.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Near perfect BYOC teleprompter

I have been using this for about 6 months now and from a reliability perspective it's pretty flawless once you have dialed in the position and setup. I'm using it with the low profile Elgato arm which gets it to the right height and makes it easy to move out of the way. It's also really lightweight and can fit almost any webcam or camera you want to throw at it.
But based on my use case there's a little room for improvement. I use it solely for video calls at work. It allows me to focus and be present as my attention is directed to where the call is (I set it off to the side of my main monitor). I'm able to participate with little distraction because of the constrained size, I can't really be surfing the web or checking social media and have a video call running. That said it would be great for the size of the screen to be bigger - not too big, just somewhere between the size it is today and an iPad Pro would be great. This would allow me to see smaller details when people are presenting slides or work on calls, see more of the people on the call at once. It'd also help to increase the resolution of the screen too, either pixel doubling (like Apple's retina standard) or something close to it. I often get the pixelated look when certain gradients are on screen and it would sharpen things if the prompter is pushed further back.

Couldn't Live Without It!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first got my hands on this, I wasn't sure how much id use it as I don't often fully script out my videos etc
However, after Testing this for a couple of months now, it's honestly been the perfect addition to my setup.

Understandably Teleprompters are kind of niche and are one of those products that not everyone needs or sees the benefit in
but if you're a streamer/content creator I can Guarantee you'll find Multiple uses for the Elgato Prompter.

Personally I've been using it the most for reading live stream chat & Zoom meetings
BUT the longer I have this product the more uses I keep finding.
I've now started to use it to shoot UGC content, using it as an external monitor for my main camera or overhead shots
as well as an additional display for general PC productivity.

Something that has been nice to see, is the frequent updates to Camera Hub/Prompter software.
At first it was missing a couple of necessary features like an on off switch or a centre marker so you know where to look when talking to a camera

but Elgato have listened to community feedback and implemented most things people have been asking for.
Something I would like to see though is some additional support for portrait modes or options for other chats like Youtube or Tiktok and not just Twitch
but I'm sure these are things we'll probably see in future updates...

The only real issues I've experienced when using this , is i'll sometimes have new windows or games randomly open on the prompter instead of my main display which isn't the

Overall Though its a solid piece of hardware, super useful for content creators and really affordable especially when compared to competing or similar products on the market!

A must-have for WFH professionals in lots of calls

I received this as a gift and was a bit concerned at first, but it turned out to be the best addition to my setup in a while. It's made me more attentive during meetings and made looking into the camera way easier. It's also helped make scripts way more natural.

Love how versatile this is!

I've been using my Prompter for the last month, and I've enjoyed how versatile it is!
Whenever I film a video, I'll use it as a Fullscreen Projector for my camera through OBS! I can actually stare at my lens and also see if my camera is angled properly, which helps a lot!
I also will either open up a text software with my script, or input the script into the Camera Hub software to have my script available on it!
When I do stream, it's really nice to use with Twitch chat! I'd love to see more support on the software for YouTube and Kick chats over time,
Overall, it's great for a lot of different content! I would love to see more features added through the software over time to keep adding more reasons to use it!

Great for many uses

I've had the Prompter for three months and it has made my Twitch streams more engaging for my audience while I read chat. I've used it for YouTube scripts as well as video calls for interviews and conferences. I only wish that I could set the default display mode(chat/text/display) of the Prompter in the camera hub app when my computer is restarted. Looking forward to it in an update.

Changes The Game For Engagement And Sponsorships

As someone who primarily live streams (I don't do VOD content) the Prompter has been an absolute life saver. Sponsored reads are now into the camera - where I can make a genuine connection with my audience. It's made a difference in click and purchase rates during sponsored products. I've also seen an uptick on my engagement rates of chatters during livestreams, with most of the feedback from my viewership saying it feels better that I have been looking at them - not off screen at a chat on a different monitor.
Font sizes and scrolls speeds are easily editable and the interface is simple to use. A product I never thought I needed that now I can't imagine not having in my setup.
