This pillow is a huge disappointment! This pillow is heavy as is mentioned in other reviews. It does provide cooling, however it goes flat the moment you lay on it. It is not worth the money.

I was super excited thinking I was getting a good quality pillow but it has only given me neck and shoulder pain due to it being so firm. The pillow goes flat and stays flat. I sleep horrible since using it.. and it feels like you're sleeping on a piece of concrete. For the cost of these pillows I am highly disappointed.

Great Pillow horrible Case

Loved the pillow when the case was in good condition. After two years the case fell apart and had to be thrown out. They do not sell a case that has the proper cooling effect like the one it comes with so now the pillow is just a firm pillow. The cooling was the reason I got it but have been using it for three years without the original cover so it no longer stays cool. I was told to order the TEMPUR-Protect Pillow Protector which would work similarly but it does not. Sad that they do not make a replacement cover for it rendering the pillow useless. I was told by a very nice sales rep on the phone that they have no product ID for just the case and cannot sell it. So be aware if you want to get this pillow. I used my like any other pillow for the first two years but after two years the zipper came off the casing and ripped from one side to the other causing me to throw it away. I would give it a 4 of 5 stars if they had replacement casings that I could buy. It was a great cooling pillow for any time of year and made sleep easier for me. knowing my unit lasted only two years with no replacement cover makes it only a 2 of 5 star recommendation from me.

Too heavy

This pillow is way too heavy. Can barely lift it to turn when you are kind of awake in the middle of the night but need to re-position your pillow. Otherwise, not too bad. I have spent a fortune on Tempur Pedic stuff, this was the most disappointing

Quality materials, questionable support for side sleepers

The cooling quality and the materials are both top notch. You can tell it's a well-made pillow as soon as you open the package. I tend to sleep hot and this pillow's cooling quality is very good. However, Tempur-Pedic claims this is a pillow that would work for side sleepers, and I have to disagree. I am a side sleeper and have experienced discomfort and restlessness with this pillow. Neck pain, shoulder-back pain, etc. My wife also does not like it as a side-sleeping pillow. Unfortunately we spent a significant amount of money on these pillows and cannot return them due to Tempur-Pedic's return policy. I will try using this pillow as a body pillow because of the cooling properties.

Well made but too flat

While it's true that this pillow is nice and cool, it, alas, left my neck and shoulders in exquisite, searing discomfort. It was recommended to me because, on top of being a warm sleeper, I'm a side-sleeper and I have wide shoulders. So, soft, down-filled pillows tend not to work very well for me. However, after approximately a month of using this monstrosity, my shoulders began to feel sore periodically, then constantly a month or so later. It got to a point where I couldn't sleep more than three or four hours continuously. This happened over a period of several months. At first I thought it was my new mattress (which I got a few weeks after the pillow). But after doing some traveling and experiencing a variety of pillows, I realized what the culprit really was. I eventually switched brands to a more classic style stuffed pillow (about a quarter of the price too), and voilà! Problem solved! In very short order, my shoulders went back to normal and I began to sleep much better. I think the problem is that it's just too hard. It may work for some people, but not for me. Experimentally, about a month later I tried it out again for a couple nights, and sure enough the result was a terrible night's sleep and the return of the neck-ache. Unfortunately, since Tempur doesn't take back their pillows, I still have it. I don't use it, of course. It now lurks ominously in the corner, awaiting its next victim.... I suppose we can give it to the cat, or use it as a decorative throw pillow, or just throw it at intruders since it's so hard and heavy. Or perhaps I'll hang it from the ceiling and use it as a punching bag. I've been meaning to get into boxing anyway. Seriously, this pillow is less sleeping aid and more bludgeoning instrument. I'll be sure to keep it close if I need to defend us against an angry mob or, say, a grizzly bear. Thorin Oakenshield could have used it against those orcs; but then his name would have been Thorin Tempurcloudbreezedualcoolingpillowshield, and that doesn't roll off the tongue quite as smoothly. By the way, the new mattress is fantastic. Not a Tempur, thankfully. G'night. PS: I also ordered the much thinner and less weapon-ish Essential Support pillow for my girlfriend. It's now a throw pillow on the sofa. 'Nuff said there.

Best pillow ever!

Absolutely love this pillow! So much that it is hard to sleep on other pillows so I take it everywhere I travel. It is very heavy, but worth every pound!
