Your head will immediately mold right into the pillow, but not completely sink in to where you you've lost the neck and spine support. It's perfect. It's quite huge. It's nice to not have to move the pillow if you want to slide around the bed a bit. There's enough pillow for you to slide to the left or right side of your choose. As for the cooling. I would say it's not a huge factor. It does of course give you a nice cooling sensation initially, but of course your body Will heat the inner gel up throughout the night. You will notice the temperature difference as you roll from left to right side sleeping; which is a nice sensation. Overall it's the high quality you expect from tempur-pedic with a bonus you'll appreciate throughout the night if you like occasional cooling.

For me the pillow gives great head and neck support, and for the most part is comfortable. The cooling is little to be desired. The pillow starts off nice and cool but any extended head placement in the same spot, ans the pillow warms up. There have been a few times where I woke up with my head sweating.

This pillow is thick, you would expect it to be firm, but instead as soon as you lay your head on it it becomes flat as a pancake and you are left with no neck support. I give this pillow a 2 star rating instead of 1 because it is good at keeping really cool. Listen to the reviews on this one, it gets flat almost immediately. Wish I could return.
