After one year, the cooling effect diminishes. After two years, the pillow becomes flat and provides no support.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the cooling effect and it is well made but it is not as firm/dense as the original pillow. I know it's made in a thicker design for larger people but I am 5'7" and weigh 130 pounds so I did not think I qualified. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to give you my opinion.
