I bought a symphony pillow approx 7 years ago and loved it. When I forgot it in a hotel, I went straight out to purchase another... They've changed the cover fabric to a much cheaper quality one and the thickness -loft/fill-is half what it was before; but you guessed it - same price! ?SO DISAPPOINTED.?

Not good for side or back sleeping.

This pillow is not good for sleeping on your side, or your back. The wedge shape does not work as good as you would imagine for sleepign on your side; the wedge is thin and once the material compresses its basically way too thin and theres not enough support. For sleepign on your back, the pillow can be flipped over, but it's no good for sleeping on your back either. If you look at the pillow, imagine sleeping on your back, with your neck and the back of your head on the rounded side. The pillow is kind of like a hill top. It's not comfortable, it will slide out from beneath your neck, or it will feel like your neck is sliding down it. It's REALLY annoying having to flip this pillow over all the time too. I can't stand it. Not good for back or neck sleeping. I am going to try the Neck Pillow this time instead, since they have a sizing chart.

I HAVE OSTEOARTHRITIS AND THE PILLOWS I WAS USING WERE NOT SUPPORTING MY NECK AND SHOULDERS. MY DOCTOR SUGGESTED A PILLOW CHANGE TO ADD SUPPORT MY NECK. I WENT TO A TEMPUR DEALER AND BORROWED A SYMPHONY PILLOW FOR ONE NIGHT. THE SYMPHONY PILLOW , USING THE BACK SLEEPER SIDE , MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY MY NECK AND SHOULDERS FELT THE NEXT MORNING.I HAVE NOW PURCHASED 2 SYMPHONY PILLOWS, A QUEEN SIZE FOR THE BED AND A STANDARD FOR OVERNITE STAYS.

Great For Most Side Sleepers

If you have normal-to-broad shoulders and sleep on your side, this is probably the pillow you want. It's not a soft pillow by any means but it will soften up enough to be comfortable over time. What you're getting here is a firm pillow that retains its shape night after night. The good thing is it has 2 different firmness settings by simply by turning the pillow over. So those with normal width shoulders who sleep on their side will want to use one side while those with broad shoulders would do better by flipping the pillow to the other side. It would be great if the pillow was as soft as a goose-down but what you give up in softness you gain in firmness and a good night's sleep. Expect to wake up from your first night's sleep with a little stiffness in your neck as the pillow you were using before this is almost assuredly more forgiving and not as firm. However after a night or two, your body will adapt and you'll have a pillow that's the correct thickness/firmness for what you need.

Not as comfortable as a down pillow but much better for your neck. Since I have had mine (4 months) I have slept like a baby, have had no neck pain, no shoulder pain and I can turn my head both ways without pain. I love it and wouldn't go anywhere over night without it. Even my dog tries to get to it at night before me.

I have the cloud bed and love it! Cloud pillows: Too thick. Symphony pillows: Too heavy, thick and firm. I tried sleeping with my shoulders on this pillow too and I liked the feel, but as you sleep we never usually stay in same position and caused neck issues. I have an off brand neck pillow and I am thinking about getting the tempur-pedic neck pillow, but scared to spend more money and still not like the pillow. I Love the Cloud Supreme Bed! I just haven't found the right pillow. Do I need the neck or the side sleeper?..........More money.....more decisions.

I use to position my pillow larger flat side down, but now I feel more comfortable with the smaller flat side down. Still works amazing after 4 years! Best investment so far for my family and I.
Pros: Amazing After 4 Yrs, Comfortable, Durable, Easy to clean, Good Support, Soft Feel

I have 4 tempurpedic pillows. Two are 15 years old and still as good as new. I received them with my first tempurpedic matrice purchase. They are thinner and more firm. I was excited about this pillow as I am a side sleeper and the contoured side is supposed to cradle the head and support the neck. It is too thin to perform this function for me. I still use one of the old tempur pillows under it to achieve the correct thickness. It only took a few weeks and I could no longer differentiate between the concave and convex sides of the pillow. Would I buy this pillow again? Yes, I would. It is comfortable and a good pillow. It just isn't perfect for my 6' 4" body and shoulder conformation.
Pros: Durable, Functional
