We are side sleepers. Our head weight compresses the pillow down beyond perpendicular to shoulders. Our prior generation of this pillow held our heads just right. Too bad I pitched those when these arrived.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i was expecting it to be great when i bought it. i was highly disappointed. I was expecting a pillow that would replace the pillow from the same company i received as a gift 8 years ago. Which I love. So either the quality has gone down or there's an epic fail with this one. It was so flat that it's like putting my head directly on the mattress. I sleep both on my back and sides so in either position it feels like a used worn out pillow. I would have loved to have been able to exchange for different one but it's not offered. Will not recommend this product to friends or family.

I was on the fence about purchasing this pillow as I contemplated other brands. However, I am glad I went with this one. It is supportive, a nice level of firm, and helps me sleep each night. I am a back sleeper and I like how the contoured edges fit nicely under my neck.

I chose this pillow because I sleep on all sides and was experiencing neck and shoulder pain after a few years with my previous pillow. I decided to try Tempurpedic to get the support I need. While it definitely does not feel like a cloud, it does give the right support and my pain has significantly subsided. I wouldn't, however, recommend this exact pillow unless you like and are looking for something extra firm. I find it particularly uncomfortable for sleeping on my stomach, but it's great for back- and side-sleeping.

Best pillow, been using this one for years! I recently just purchased an extra one, just in case they discontinue or something happens to the one I have now. Tempur pillows are worth every penny!
