It's not too high. It's not too low. It's juuuust right. For years, I stacked 2 pillows to get the right height. But I would have to adjust them all the time. Finally, I have a pillow that's just the right height for me. I also like how the edges are tapered to keep my nose clear so it's easier to breathe. I sometimes flip it upside down and use the tapered space for my arm without raising the pillow. The memory foaminess is also great. It's soft but supportive, just like my mattress. Also doesn't keep too much heat. I sleep better with this pillow since I don't have to adjust it much throughout the night! Also recommended this pillow to my couple friends who were looking for new pillows. They got some, too, and both really like it.

I'm sorry to say this pillow has only brought discomfort and pain for me. I gave it away. I sleep in various positions and it hasn't served me well in any. Currently saving for a Tempur-pedic mattress, and was hoping to get a pillow like my boyfriend's ancient original pillow, but the Symphony is nothing like it. I cannot recommend this one, sorry.

Don't waste your money...

I purchased my last symphony in 2012, and it was heavy, firm, and had great support. In February, I purchased the same pillow not thinking there would be product issues. The new design is soft, lightweight foam that does not support my head as I am a stomach sleeper. Why would you change a wonderful product that so many customers love!?!?

Too high for my neck

I am a back and side sleeper, and got this pillow thinking it would be perfect for me. Although one side is slanted downward, it is too high for my neck and gives me pain in the morning. It is frustrating that I can not return it as I no longer have a need, I will try another tempurpedic pillow to hopefully solve my problem.

I ordered this product because I already had one that I bought years ago. I got it today and opened it only to find that while I paid more for this one, it was considerably smaller than my old pillow of the exact same model. It's about 3 inches shorter in width and 5 inches shorter in length than my old one. Very disappointed because I've sent countless people to tempurpedic over the years because of how I raved about this pillow

I have owned a pillow for 20+ years. I hated to part with it but it literally was on its last leg. I check the website and found the symphony pillow which was 90% the same as what I had for so many years. Unfortunately, once I slept on it I found out that it was not the same. The new design is way too soft and my head sinks down in it after just a few minutes. My previous one was a medium and I wish I could find that one again.

Read some recent reviews that said that this pillow disappointed them, but that was not the case for me. I love it! The first night alone I slept like a baby. It was amazing. I hate memory foam pillows and I have for a while, but my symphony pillows changed my mind. They don't get hot like other memory foam pillows, and they aren't as hard either. If you like a really firm pillow this isn't for you, but I love a soft pillow that I just sink into and this is that! I sink in just enough to be comfortable but I can still breath clearly out my nose when I sleep on my side. Back sleeping is incredible too, the pillow surrounds your neck as you sleep. It isn't too thick either which I love. I like a thinner pillow, as it helps my neck from hurting in the morning. Overall a great purchase and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great feeling pillow that isn't like traditional hard memory foam.

Clever idea to have the two different sides to one pillow-one for back sleepers and one for side sleepers. And it works okay. My disappointment lies in its firmness. It's a bit like sleeping on a rock. I'd like it much more is it were a bit softer.
