I wish I had sent this back. Even though it's a medium firmness, it's actually pretty soft. If you sleep close to the edge, you just slump down on the edge. Tbh, I think mine is starting to collapse. I purchased the adjustable base as well. So, my mattress moves a lot and will start to hang over the edge which if you sleep on the edge, it is even worse. You can wake up about falling onto the floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My old one is still going strong after almost 20 years (I just needed a bigger bed) so it's still being used in my guest room. This new one feels great and I sleep very well on it. It's firm but contours to your body. Every night, I get restful sleep. The only complaint I have was the shipping of the bed to me; it was an absolute nightmare. But the bed itself is spot on.
