Initially very firm. Waited thru a decent break in period and within a year the bed is as uncomfortable as our 8 year old memory foam mattress that we got rid of. My wife and I have developed back pain and are looking for a new mattress already.

Arrived quickly and was super easy to set up. However when compared to our other more firm tempur-pedic mattress, this may be just as firm. We are going to have to purchase some kind of 4" topper to get it to a medium.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those who prefer some firmness with a top layer of cushy comfort to sink in, the Cloud Medium is perfect. It takes the pressure off the hips and shoulder for side sleepers and still provides the needed support for back sleepers. This is my second Tempurpedic mattress and morning stiffness in the lower back has resolved itself after trying out a different mattress design/brand for about two years.
