Excellent Cooling Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 6,000 BTU Frigidaire Air Conditioner works so well in cooling down a room up to 250 square feet . The cold air coming out of the vents works very well and you have a choice to put it on different settings. I am so satisfied with this product from Frigidaire and glad I purchased it.

Frigidaire 6000 BTU Window Room Air Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Frigidaire because the unit in our room is old and doesn't put out much cool air. After installing the Frigidaire in our window we stay a very nice and cool 72 degrees around the clock. I use the Eco setting during the day to keep electric costs down but run it full-tilt at night for very cozy sleeping.

Gets louder as it gets older

When I first purchased this unit I was thrilled. So quiet for my bedroom. However now t makes tapping and dripping noises and there appears to be mold growing on the insulation inside. It also seems to have broken a seal? This is just the third summer with it. Took the second photo after having tried to wipe down the inside.

However, we are sad to learn that you are having some issues. We would be glad to help. Note that your appliance does have some normal sounds of operation that you may encounter. Noises like water dripping, usually indicate droplets of water hitting the condenser. The tapping that you hear could be one of two things or a combination of both. It could be your high-efficiency compressor giving off a high-pitched chatter noise, or the unit is vibrating because of poor wall or window construction or incorrect installation. Ensure that the unit was installed correctly, and if new seals are needed, we would be happy to look into available options for you. A bit of noise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall good unit. Cools room. However makes intermittent noise that sounds like something inside is loose. I will likely need to call for service however as I dont use that often, wanted to see over time if it goes away

Keeping Cool during 100°f temperatures

I was able to assemble/attach the side extenders and install into my window myself. I have been well pleased with Frigidaire.....I also have a big Frigidaire window unit in my leaving room. And have had it for some time now and have had no problems.
