This antenna is a great upgrade from the previous versions and stock antennas from midland. The integrated spring is much appreciated and should increase the lifespan of this antenna!

Purchased two of these. The are very good antennas. The older version did not have a spring base and I have broken two of them on tree limbs around field edges. These newer ones are spring based and alleviate that problem. A great improvement.

Our group has this excellent antenna. Every new antenna we get for GMRS radio use we always test tit's SWR and this antenna is the only GMRS antenna that never needs tuning right from the factory! We almost use the Mag mount and put on the center of the roof and that's it!
You just can't go wrong with this antenna! We help a few Farmers set up their GMRS radios and this is one antenna we suggest almost all the time. Excellent for grain bin mounting! Farmers find GMRS radio to be a real time saver in the field and way better then a CB radio,

I got this to upgrade from the supplied antenna that came with my radio. The original antenna worked great but this one has improved overall performance of my setup. My dad and I both have micro mobiles with this antenna and both transmit and receive are great. so far we have experienced 10 mile range in hilly tree covered areas around our homes. I highly recommend.
