I bought these radios to put in all my farm equipment and trucks in place of my old CB's.
Absolutely the best, easiest, and user friendly radios ive ever installed and used. Ready to go right out-of the box! Range has been 15-20 miles with the 6 db antenna and minimal to major trees and some hills.

Reason for only 4 stars is because I don’t like the mike midland needs to either get rid of the channel select on the mike or give that an option otherwise I just love the radio

This is the best Raido! I have ever had! Theres not nothing I can’t complain about it. I was thinking about buying. 2 more MXT500 for a repeater system for my Community to talk on. If you guys ever do some upgrades. I think it would be cool if the Microphone lights up in blue where is said midland on it!

I'm a long time user of Midland GMRS radios. We use these in the Western mountains of N. Carolina where cell phone connections are sketchy.. Primarily we communicate between our truck, base unit, and Polaris side by side. This unit is replacing our older less powered MXT 400 and hoping the additional range will be really noticeable. Another big win for this radio in the inclusion of the weather bands which were absent on the 400s.. will update post once we get it up and running.
