heats up quick, disappointed it has no plug outlet, takes lots to upkeep top surface, oven self clean works well but you can hear it running during the process.

Cooktop scratches

Got this new range around a month ago.
While cleaning it recently, I noticed that the cooktop had developed deep visible scratches.
The cooktop of my old range was much much more sturdy and tough and didn't have any scratches after more than 20 years of use.

Glass and ceramic cooktops can be more susceptible to scratching compared to older, more durable materials, especially if abrasive cleaning tools or cookware are used. Here are a few tips to help prevent further scratches:
Use cookware with smooth, flat bottoms – Avoid rough or warped pans that may scratch the surface.
Avoid sliding pots and pans – Lift items when moving them on the cooktop.
Use non-abrasive cleaners – Specialty cooktop cleaners and soft cloths or sponges are recommended.
Clean spills promptly – Sugary or acidic spills can etch or damage the surface if left to bake on.
