Great system; a few ideas on how to improve it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a week or so ago after my Toro system finally died after about 20 years. I wanted something that would vacuum and mulch better and I found this system seemed to fit the tab.
Out of the box set-up was very simple and pretty intuitive. Figuring how it all worked was also pretty simple. My Toro wasn't all that different conceptually (except for the reverse blower/vacuum, which is pretty neat).
The unit is heavy. But switching from hand to hand help alleviate that strain.
The blower worked pretty well, especially hard surfaces, but small leaves in the grass (we have locust trees around), not so much, even on high. I think if the nozzle had an attachment that narrowed it down to a smaller opening, then it would do really well.
The real prize for me was the vacuum mulcher. I had read other reviews that said it would be dusty, and they weren't kidding. It took me a bit to figure out why but it's not because the mesh needs to allow air to repel (otherwise it would blow off like a balloon), but because the mulcher blades were soooo good, it pulverizes the leaves rather than chops them up. All that dust can be handled with goggles and an air respirator if you are sensitive. Wear good yard-working clothes b/c you'll get dusty. Keep the pail downwind and you should be okay.
I liked that the hose is of a flexible metal ribbing because you most certainly step on it accidentally more than a few times. I did and was happy that it pushed back to shape easily and didn't break the tubing. Let's face it, we're not all super careful.
The mesh bag fit nicely over a 32-gal trash can that I lined with a Hefty bag. Thing is, the weight of the tube and the mesh don't allow it to stay upright. That makes for a billow on the side of the trash can where leaves get pushed into. Not a huge thing, but I think an accessory that would hold the mesh upright, sort of a triangular umbrella type thing that gives form to the mesh would be great.
Maneuvering was easy and the vacuum was fabuluos. It handled the leaves easily, no clogging and it easily chopped up the small twigs from several spirea bushes around my yard. It chopped up a lot of leaves that would have easily been a dozen bags and made it into a single bag.
So overall, a metal fitting atop the trash can to keep the mesh in shape and a nozzle attachment for the tube so it blows leaves on grass better. Past that....it's a really great product and i'm glad I have it.

Great Mulcher/Blower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mulcher because I had so many leaves in my yard. The mulcher worked great but sometimes does have issues mulching if a small stick gets sucked up and the only way to fix it is to switch it to the blower mode. This involves taking the mulching bag off and then switching to the blower until it gets the debris out and then putting the bag back on to mulch again. Not a hard task but does take some time.
Another issue I have is sometimes it smells as if it is burning because something got sucked up and is stuck in the mulcher but usually goes away on its own.
The last issue that I had with it is that my back would hurt from bending over to suck up the leaves. I am over 6 ft tall and I am bending down to get the leaves. Wish it had an adjustable tube on it.
Overall I gave it a 4 star review since it was a great purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after spending 11 autumns struggling with rakes and less than stellar leaf blowers. we have several sugar maples on our property that are over 200 years old each. They drop a whole lot of leaves every Autumn. It would make the task of gathering the leaves and getting rid of them arduous. But with the worx trivac we got the job done in just a couple of days. Even my skeptical teenage sons were impressed with the power and the ease of use with this product. I love the mulching feature. Money well spent.

Love This Machine

I just got it, used it to do our yard. Made short work of a huge pile of leaves and small twigs. Still doesn't like acorns, but took care of 36 bags of leaves!

Easy to use!

My partner and I just moved into a house that has quite a few oak trees. I purchased this just as leaf-ma-geddon was about to arrive and am I glad I did! One day, all of the leaves dropped and after one weekend, I was able to corral, vacuum and mulch all of the leaves into the hedgerow and flowerbeds to prep them for the winter.
Now that most of the leaves are dealt with, any stragglers that happen to blow in are quickly taken care of!
One of the best lawn care tool purchases I've made to date. Highly recommend.

Great suction and mulching

It makes quick work or piles of leaves and no more bagging into several small paper bags.

The hose attaches ok to a large 96 gal can however not very tight and you get alot of debris seeping out. I changed to a smaller can on wheels and it worked great.
Overall great buy.
