Much better than raking leaves!

I purchased the WG524 when I read that it mulched up the leaves in addition to vacuuming them up. I like its ability to be used as a fairly powerful blower, which I use to move leaves into specific areas and then switch to the vacuum feature. Wet or dry, the WG524 does an excellent job of both sucking up the leaves and the mulching them. Although the collection bag is not huge, it does hold a lot more than I would have expected. I have also used the waste can attachment, but most of the time I prefer using the collection bag. This is my second season using the WG524 and I am definitely happy I purchased it, as it sure beats raking up leaves by hand! The mulching of the leaves also reduces our leaf waste from 6-8 bags to 1-2 bags on an average leaf clean-up. I would recommend the WG524.

The 1st one I bought fizzled within a minute. The replacement works fine. It blows great. The vacuum is just right for me…doesn’t pick up stones or pine cones. It won’t vac up a pile of leaves very fast. That’s the trade off for not vacuuming up stones I guess. I really mulches. Did I say it was heavy? Well it is. And with half a bag of mulch it’s quite a load. The bag has straps that can help. I’d recommend it.

I've had two Toro leaf vacs and they were okay. The shute would clog frequently so when the last one died I ordered the Worx TRIVAC. I've used it about 8 hours vacuuming and maybe an hour blowing. It is by far the best vac I've had. Never clogged once even in wet leaves. I found it less of a strain on my back than the Toros I had. I wasn't too impressed with the mesh hood. The hose is heavy and the slightest tug would pull my trash can over. Other than that it worked well. The bag is a lot easier to release than the Toro. It does blow dust in dry leaves but it seems they all do. I could not be more pleased with it at this point. Hopefully the longevity will be as impressive.

Powerful vacuum / mulched

This new unit is more powerful and has a greater mulching (16:1) capability. After my initial use, I am more than pleased and satisfied with the performance.

I Love it, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tool, works well. 18-1 ratio was written by a sales rep, not an engineer. Realistically, it's about 12-1, which is still GREAT. The Leaf Collection system is a MUST is you have a large yard. Suggest getting a 55 gal plastic drum from a car wash and cutting the top off See Photo. Problems: The tube is too short and I must bend to get to the leaves, suggest sell a longer tube of an attachment for us Normal sized people (6'6"). The hose on the leaf collection system is only 6' long, so you can only vacuum up a small area until you must reposition everything. Still I love this product and have been using it for 4 years.
