Absolutely love this Doorbell. I have been a Wyze Camera customer for years and I am always satisfied with their products and pricing. I picked this because it could be hardwired to my traditional doorbell wiring and would not need to be charged. I checked my voltage with a multimeter to verify I had enough low voltage power at the old doorbell prior to ordering. The included angle bracket is reversible and is perfect for the doorbell positioning in the corner. I also subscribe to Cam Unlimited which records events for all of my cameras. In the driveway, I have the Floodlight Pro which offers a ton of light and great camera quality!

I installed this and after it was connected to the router and declared itself complete, the chime made a buzzing sound and held one of the servos to the bell. I disconnected it and checked the voltage, 12.3 volts AC. I reconnected it and there is no activity in the unit, no light at the button. The Wyze Chime Controller Unit is warm
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there! thanks for sharing the details. Your Wyze Video Doorbell v2 and Chime Controller need at least 16V AC, 10VA to work properly. Your measured 12.3V AC is too low, which can cause buzzing, no lights, or malfunctions.
We recommend upgrading your transformer to meet the required voltage, then reconnecting the devices. If you’re unsure about wiring, please consult a licensed electrician.

Before the Wyze doorbell I had two other brands. Both had maddening software and a ten second delay. Useless. The Wyze doorbell is clear, even at night. Lots of lovely pictures of deer wandering across our yard, and foxes, bunnies, and FedEx deliveries. Very happy with it.

Meh… too long of a delay. The chime dongle also didn’t let the house chime work so I only used the two original transformer wires & never ended up using the supplied chime unit from Wyze.
