I had to upgrade to the v2 because the "chime repeater" for my old model stopped working. I was excited because the new version had a controller that would trigger our mechanical chime. The controller worked three times (intermittently) and has now stopped working all the time. At least I get the virtual phone notification or I wouldn't know anyone was at the door. Not good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just purchased this and I was excited to get alerts on my phone when packages were dropped off. However, I have other camearas shared with me, and all I get is their alerts. Please update the app so I can turn off notifications for shared cameras, but I can keep them on the cameras at my house. This is long overdue.
I need to know how to turn down the range. Every car that goes by sets it off.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Wyze Video Doorbell v2. We understand how frequent notifications can be frustrating, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know.
To help reduce the number of alerts especially from passing cars you can adjust your detection settings in the Wyze app. Try lowering the detection sensitivity within the Detection Zone settings by 5–10 notches at a time until the notifications better match your needs. This can help focus alerts on activity closer to your door.
If you have not already, please reach out to our Wizards team at https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us so we may help diagnose the issue or provide additional guidance.
Your feedback is valuable to us and helps improve the Wyze experience. Thank you for choosing Wyze!
Very cumbersome interface and not reliable connection. So far not working very well. Have been talking to CS at least 3 times and only installed 4 days so far.

Meh… too long of a delay. The chime dongle also didn’t let the house chime work so I only used the two original transformer wires & never ended up using the supplied chime unit from Wyze.
Before the Wyze doorbell I had two other brands. Both had maddening software and a ten second delay. Useless. The Wyze doorbell is clear, even at night. Lots of lovely pictures of deer wandering across our yard, and foxes, bunnies, and FedEx deliveries. Very happy with it.
