Does the task but its not perfect. I like the on board SD card recording and so am generally fine with no subscription for the device. I only need a doorbell and to see who is there. I have other devices for security. The camera clarity is great.The flaw is the detection settings. Very tricky to filter out false notifications. It lost internet connectivity. Was a pain to get back online.

This is one step forward and two steps back! I bought it for the SD card option, but am very disappointed that it won’t connect to my Wyze chime from the original doorbell! Now I’m stuck with deciding to take the loss and keep using the old one or sacrifice the convenience of the movable chime.

I ordered this Wyze Video Doorbell V2 to replace one of my V1 Wyze Doorbells. Although the V2 performs well, it seems to be overly sensitive to sound. I have the sound sensitivity for notifications turned all the way down and it still picks up way too much. The sensitivity of the camera notifications also seems way too sensitive compared to the V1. I also am not a fan of the yellowish hue that the camera puts into the picture in low light situations which again the V1 never did that. I like that the V2 allows use of the original doorbell chime but the other features seem somewhat of a step back from the V1.

I wish it was more like the v1 with the chime. Being that you have to use your standard doorbell chime was disappointing and I did not realize that. Had I known I might have spent more money and gone for the duo camera.

Very good, but would be great if there was an option to turn off the camera like on their other cameras. When the wind blows it picks up plants or the wreath on the door and sets off a lot of notifications. Not the end of the world as you can turn off notifications, but it would be a little more convenient if I could turn the camera off or on from the top right in the camera quick view on the favorites page. Still a great doorbell and camera, easy to install.

It actually worked with my door bell transformer. Easy to hook up and connect. Only issue, if you live on a busy street, you may need to install the angle attachment provided with the doorbell.
