I think this is a nice improvement, but only two grips (not major). I wish I could use my chime from V1. The other gripe is that the software should default to a mechanical chime as this causes me unnecessary troubleshooting when it just needs to be enabled.
Everything else is much better than V1 and I'm glad to upgrade.

Great product but I must agree with other feedback regarding the lack of backwards compatibility with the v1 chime. I get it, you’re trying to appeal to those who are upgrading from a regular doorbell and mechanical chime. That’s fantastic. But you must have known that many purchasers would be upgrading from the v1, like myself. I used a workaround using a third-party digital chime and transmitter and it works well enough. I am however confounded that you found a way to work around the mechanical chime “missing link” from the v1 by using the included transmitter but you couldn’t (or wouldn’t?) get said transmitter to work with the v1 chime—ridiculous! Not hyperbole, I would love to know how/why this was excluded. Everything you all do seems very well thought out so I would just love to understand.
Better video, especially night vision. But, doesn't work with my mechanical chime and I still lose connection often, even with my mesh router only 5 ft away.
Worked fine for about 6 hours, now won't connect to our wifi, garbage!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We would recommend power cycling the doorbell by flipping the breaker power the doorbell to its “Off” position, wait 10 full seconds, then flip the breaker switch back to the “On” position. Only had it installed for a week, but so far so good. About twice the size as original doorbell camera, but for me, thats a good thing. Looks more legit and not like a toy. I hooked it up using a power adapter and not through doorbell wiring. Only wish it could be used with the chime from the original doorbell.
