This doorbell would be perfect, if it supported the v1 chime accessory. I can't use the wired doorbell any longer because we expanded our home, and you can't hear the doorbell in the other parts of the house.
So I have had to put back the v1 doorbell, and this is in the box.
I have had wonderful success with other wyze products; this is super super disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The quality of the video is excellent. I am having difficulty adjusting the detection sensitivity to prevent non-movements triggering the camera. Shadows from vehicles and headlights from vehicles at night sometimes trigger the camera. Some movements that should trigger the camera are missed.
Also, get error code "06" from time to time. Haven't determined what is causing that. I have had the Video Doorbell v2 for two weeks.

Only 4 stars as the door bell has a delay when button is pressed to when the mechanical chime go off. Other than that it's a nice upgrade to the Wyze doorbell pro.

Doorbell is nice and compact, couldn’t get the chime to work at all no matter what I did. It seems to disconnect from my network a lot as well. Picture quality is great though.

Don't believe the wiring instructions!

I like Wyze products. I held out on buying one of their doorbells until they had one with a microSD card for continuous recording. So then they brought out a video doorbell v2. I bought it. The instalation was a pain because their instructions were sparse and inaccurate. I had to reverse the wiring from what they specified in the instructions to get the doorbell to function properly!

good reasonably priced doorbell needs better mount

mounting hardware leaves a lot to be desired. This door bell replaces an older G-Nest that had a much superior metal mounting plate and while not bulletproof by any means, was much better suited to a secure mounting on exterior stucco. The Wyze product seems to function better and was significantly cheaper so if someone pulls it off the mount and walks away with it, it's not the end of the world.
