The video quality is great but there are several items that could be fixed 1)SD is accessible from the outside. Easy to remove/steal. 2)Doorbell transformer needs to be >16V 10VA in order for chime to work. You’ll need to upgrade transformers most likely. 3)Chime setting for do not disturb (DND) cannot be scheduled, just turn on/off chime. Wyze has the doorbell pro that can schedule the chime DND.

Better than Nest, but still room to improve. Prior to this I had Nest doorbell that I used for a few years. Without paying a subscription, it only kept a few hours of history, and the interface, for Android anyway, made it very difficult to find the event if you weren't there right in the moment. I have the Wyze cameras on the front door, too, and I found that when the Nest would tell me it saw motion 2 or 3 hours ago, I would just open the Wyze app to see it. When the Nest died after a few years, the Wyze doorbell was my choice to replace it. Install was pretty easy, but the fact that there's no connection to a wireless chime (or to a home smart speaker) made it VERY annoying. As configured, you would basically only hear the doorbell if you were standing outside next to the button when it was pushed. Even the Wyze Chime doesn't work with it! Finally someone posted the workaround that you can set the Wyze app to trigger a smart plug when the doorbell is pushed, so I purchased a Wyze plug and set that up, then I was able to make Google Home announce "Someone is at the front door" whenever the plug was triggered. It's an absurd length to go to just to make a doorbell ring inside, especially since a lot of users are going to be upgrading to smart doorbell's when their existing one stops working. It's the best doorbell I've tried, I wouldn't even look at Nest or Ring because I'm not paying a monthly fee to use my doorbell. But the lack of ease adding a chime (sort of ESSENTIAL for a doorbell, don't you think?) makes this 3 stars at best.
I bought this as a replacement for another doorbell I had which started retroactively charging for recording. This Wyze camera works just as well, was half the price, and has free recording to an SD card. Pretty hard to beat, and no subscription required.
