I was previously using Ring but never really loved the service (or the cost). This cam costs significantly less, does more, and most importantly my home is more secure!
I like the quality of construction and am pretty happy with the performance. As with all of the 2.7k cameras, they leave a lot to be desired with long distance recognition; it's just not good enough for any details, license plates, signage, etc. Most importance is the dynamic range is so low that it will never be able to pull detail from both shadows and highlights; something that almost every doorbell location will suffer from. So, if you have a good exposure on a person at the door, guaranteed you'll not be able to see a single detail in the vehicle in the street.
Doorbell had great video quality, sound. And appearance. Set up was fairly easy. Only issue was the bell controller, the two main wires where backwards compared to the instructions. But, a quick check in the wyze forum got me on track. Love the upgrades.
Setup was easy, good quality video. Using an SD card to capture video. A bit disappointed that sharing with my wife's account does not allow her to view the SD video - is there a way to get that to work? Had to cut back on notifications - shadows from passing cars on my porch trigger movement notifications, even though I restricted the detection zone to just the porch.
Great doorbell camera. Easy to install. Was compatible with my existing doorbell chime so didnt need to install the chime control. Annual plan is affordable as well.
I DON’T LIKE HAVING TO USE. AN ADD ON TO MAKE THE DOORBELL RING MY HOUSE CHIME THEREFORE I DON’T PLAN ON USING THE V-2 CAMERA
