Hate it! We loved the cameras but the doorbells are awful. Either I get a notification every 30secs because of a bug or shadow or I get no notifications at all. Picture quality is great but I can’t get the sensitivity set to meet my needs!

Great doorbell cam. Purchased a slanted mount on Etsy so it would be plumb with the house (siding sits at an angle). Picture and field of vision is very good. On the down side it thinks birds chirping and cars going by are breaking glass, so I had to deselect that detection setting. I came from a Nest Doorbell and the only thing I miss is the ability to "rewind" the recording to find specific images, Wyze unit only lets you scroll back through events. For the price, that's acceptable.
The good: Very clear pictures. Internal SD card with 256mg of recording without having to pay for subscription. Use of existing door chime. Quick notifications and mapping to block areas of detection. Here are somethings that could be improved: Installation was easy enough after washing video but a few things could be improved. I had to fabric a mounting plate because my original door bell was mounted on a standard single gang mud ring electrical box. This is common on most newer homes. The V2 door bell was narrower than the opening. Another improvement, as many other reviews suggested, is that there isn’t any screws securing it to its mounting. Anyone can just take it off the wall. Also the SD slot is exposed and also can be accessed and stolen. I replaced a ring doorbell with the V2. The Wyze has a better picture and I don’t have to pay for a subscription to view videos. I liked that the ring had a distinctive sound which differentiated it from my other cameras. I would be a nice feature for Wyze to allow a different sound notification for its doorbell and cameras.
I wish I could say I was not disappointed a bit. I replaced the first version of the doorbell because no one could understand anything I was saying when I talked through the app. The picture is good through the camera on the V2. The grid for setting motion detection area is a pain to work. Hard to explain but it is a grid and you tap/slide your finger over but it reactivates cells as you are deleting others and just not user friendly. Install was easy as we had one before BUT BEWARE...if you used the first version with a wyze chime like me who does NOT have an existing household doorbell chime. For whatever foolish reason they created this one to ONLY work with a current chime and not a wyze chime it is certainly not a great scenario. I now have to rely only on my phone app and if I have that silenced for any reason or not next to my phone, I do not know when someone is at the door. I can not imagine a great reason for leaving this feature off of the new version but I am not a fan to put it mildly. I have had it installed for almost 2 weeks. I will see how or if I adjust and if not, I guess I will need to look at other doorbell options.
I haven’t had it that long and it has already gone offline within 3 days. I have excellent wifi coverage of my house and yard so I know it was not internet related. I had to power cycle the camera which isn’t the easiest with the short wires I have going to the doorbell. Hope it is more reliable than that long term.

Hello there! If your Wyze Video Doorbell is displaying as Offline but the Live Stream is still working we would recommend power cycling the doorbell. To power cycle, your Wyze Wired Doorbell, flip the breaker, power the Doorbell to its “Off” position, wait 10 full seconds, then flip the breaker switch back to the “On” position.
