I sat the perimeter area of what i would like to get notifications about, yet that appears null and void with this camera. I constantly get notifications for everything im front of my house.
Doorbell works great. At first I could not get it to ring my mechanical chime. After trying a number of alternate wiring plans I managed to find a software switch that resolved everything. I’m sure it was mentioned somewhere in the instructions but I missed it.
Second unit I’ve tired. Both are very unreliable in they keep loosing internet connection. Never had this problem on the smaller, white Wyze doorbell camera. Replaced this camera with the v2 model to interface with my doorbell.

Hi there, we are sorry to hear your doorbell has run into some connectivity trouble! We would recommend power cycling the doorbell by flipping the breaker power the doorbell to its “Off” position, wait 10 full seconds, then flip the breaker switch back to the “On” position. I really like the doorbell, but it lost connection with the internet almost immediately. It isn't user friendly to reset the doorbell.

We upgraded from the Nest Doorbell Camera to the Wyze Doorbell. Currently everything is working better for us. We have the SD card so the playback is great. The only problem is the alerts, we are currently adjusting them
I called support and they tried to help me but they could not get it to work with the video doorbell, my original chime in the house. I called a friend and he came and we were able to get it to work by disconnecting the video doorbell accessory that came with the doorbell that is supposed to hook to the chime. I don't know if this is properly hooked up but it does work. Support was unable to help me. I wish they had a separate chime that worked with the V2 doorbell but they do not, only with the older versions I don't know why. I also owned many Wyze devices and I have to say that I'm very happy with those devices.
