I had very high hopes but so far the experience has been horrible. I installed 2 Doorbell V2's. Neither one will work with my door chime. And, more of a frustration, neither one will stay connected to my wifi network. I moved hotspots closer to my doors ... doesn't matter. Every time a camera registers any motion, sounds etc. it seems to go off line. Also, if one is online the other is guaranteed to be offline. It's like they interfere with each other. I have multiple Waze Cams that connect and work great. Again had high hopes, but so far beyond disappointing.

The Wyze Video Doorbell v2 Install requires Connection to Existing Doorbell Chime, I have read many comments that this has been a problem for Many Users. I have found in my experience to be due to Poor Documentation. The Three Wire Chime Controller must be installed for a Period of Time before the App recognizes the Chime, and is able to select Digital before Your Chime will operate. Furthermore, Many have come to depend on Video Doorbells, that provide Notification without an existing Chime and no longer understand the wiring, involving resisters that made the old Chime function correctly. Wyze should Provide Downloadable PDF Manual to Document the Device Properly. The Video Doorbell v2 will Operate the Mechanical or Digital Chime, whenever, the Button is Pressed once the The Three Wire Chime Controller has activated it. BUT, App Notification has been crippled, to ONLY Notify Someone has Pressed the Doorbell Once, then AFTER a Period of Time it will allow another, Unless you Pay for a Plan. The Doorbell Hardware is Nice Looking, the Location of the SD Card Slot being exposed may be a Concern, but I may not be Home to hear the Chime, and the Delay of App Notification wasn't NIce to find after a troublesome install.

Upgraded from the v1. Love that it has MicroSD and it outlines the motion, but still can't get it to stop recording motion based on my bushes/trees and shadows of tree leaves. I've tried the detection zones, but it still seems to recognize motion in those areas and then if a car is in my neighbor's driveway, which it usually is, it will trigger as a vehicle alert. It will also say it's a vehicle even if the vehicle is in the excluded detection area, because as it's been explained to me, the AI doesn't respect the detection zones - just the motion detection. So even if a person is walking in the street in an excluded detection zone, the shadows on my porch trigger the motion and AI says, "There's a person here." On windy days, it's A LOT of false positives. I've dialed down the motion detection some, but it seems like a balancing act to still catch motion of rare events that I'd like to capture (like a troublesome skunk or raccoon going by my front door).
New Doorbell v2 is much better than the original. Higher quality video, cleaner and sharper appearance. Biggest issue I had was during installation. Instructions should include that if the chime does not ring, to try the alternate wiring method that support provided me. Also, firmware update should not prompt until after chime type is selected. This also caused quite a bit of confusion.
