Bought with a V2 Doorbell as a combo deal. Thought it would work together since they were sold with each other. This door lock is nice but really lacks in the tech department and is not upgradable to get wifi features. Fingerprint doesn't work all the time, and can be frustrating to use. I would not buy this again. I didnt go with the Wyze Lock because the keypad has been out of stock forever

This is my second Wyze lock and I love it. It activates so much faster than other brands. My only complaint is the fingerprint reader does not / is not able to read my fingerprints that are stored.

The lock works well. I like being able to open the lock remotely, though that requires you to have an expensive doorbell pro. It's no clear if the (also expensive) doorbell duo will also allow this feature. I work from far away, so I like to keep track of things remotely. Because it works by Bluetooth (I think), the app doesn't know whether the lock is locked or unlocked unless you're within the small Bluetooth range. Having a temporary code is awesome, but it's an 8-digit code and therefore easy to enter incorrectly and there's a delay between entering and having the door bolt unlock, plus the bolt can easily get hung up unless it's perfectly set in the door. For these reasons sometimes it doesn't work to allow access. The lock/doorbell combination circumvents this problem by allowing you to open the door from the app, but you have to be immediately available for that.
Giving people that you know their own access is also a great feature. Once the code is entered, it's no longer accessible, so if your person who has their own code forgets it, you would have to delete their code and make a new profile for them. None of this is difficult to do, but takes a small amount of time.
I'm often away from home and this is certainly one of the best ways to lock up for people like me who need to often give people access while I'm away. I use Wyze cameras and other products to allow me to keep an eye on things while I'm gone and I'm quite pleased overall. I appreciate the people who engineer this useful products.
I've used the remote features a fair amount and the battery seems to last at least 6 months for me. A side note is that rechargeable batteries generally have not been reliable for me in this or other devices.
It's a very good lock with unique features. The security features such as not being connected to Wi-Fi and codes are great, but also can be a mild hinderence. The flaws are not significant enough for me to give this product other than 5 stars. I like the lock enough despite any flaws that I bought a second one.
