Can’t lock remotely

The entire point of a lock like this is the ability to lock and unlock remotely. This lock requires Bluetooth to do that, meaning that you have to be within 20 feet. It’s completely useless if you need to lock the door after giving a repair person or cleaner access while you are away.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Check your door!

Just finished installing the Wyze Lock Bolt. I ran into trouble when I realized the bolt assembly required a plate to be chiseled out on the edge of the door, which would have been fine if I had a wood door. Luckily after some filing and drilling of the old deadbolt I was able to adapt it to work with this product's housing/mechanics. Other than that I like the app interface. Hoping some kind of bridge/camera connection can make this controllable/accessible from farther than the 16 foot bluetooth range. It seems silly that I can't remotely unlock my door from even upstairs

The Lock Bolt does what it is intended to do. It does it well. It is easy to install and configure. I knew what I was buying. The only reason for four stars instead of five is to let Wyze know that this lock would be even better if it were connected and I could see status and mange it remotely through the app as I can with other Wyze locks, cameras, etc.

Irrespective of Price, I looked at every outdoor smart lock and on the market, chose the Wyze Lock Bolt. Two toggle options could make this product even better:
1. Proximity Auto Door Opening with Bluetooth/Proximity sensors. I understand it needs more outdoor hardware/software but it would be more elegant if the door knew to unlock as I approached with bags in my hands. This should not be released until it's reliable/stable/works every time. Offered as On/Off feature.

2. Wifi Access: this feature should be on/off depending on the user. As it is, you can only chnage the settings when you are within about 50 feet. What's the difference if I want to access it from some other place? This should be optional.

The Wyze Lock Bolt was easy to install. It works exactly as promised. I love being able to set PIN numbers/and fingerprints for different members of my family. Gives them access and lets me keep track of who has been in the house.
