It's well made but the poor fingerprint detection and lockout after too many attempts is a terrible combination. Get a better sensor, my last four phones unlocked far more reliably.

At first I was a bit intimidated by it thinking that the installation was going to be complicated, but I was so wrong! The installation was super easy, I was able to do in about 15 minutes total. The lock is sturdy and has a beautiful modern look. We’re very happy with it! We love not having to worry about taking our keys out when we get home - our fingertip is all we need. We also have it autolock every 15 minutes which is great for our peace of mind. Not sure how long the battery lasts, it is still going with its original batteries.

Overall, I think it is great. 4 star because the mechanism inside the house is all black (ok with that) but the position of the locking knob is very hard to see in low light to glance at to see if it is locked. Also, the screws connecting the outside to the inside plate are significantly lighter weight than the ones for the deadbolt I was replacing (maybe not important).

Ease of setup and use makes this a great backup when your wifi is down and you can't use your door lock that is wifi controlled - this simple deadbolt lock stores fingerprints and keypad data inside - not in the cloud and touching the pad scanner is simple - similar to the gun safe its instantaneous action allows for quick and easy access to an otherwise unusable entry way when your wifi is down - without other backup solutions this is a must have! Highly recommended!
