Really easy to install and setup. The finger print scanner reads really fast and accurate. The optional code is a good backup. I tested out the USB, when batteries are dead, and wow...very impressed. I was expecting more of a hassle, but it was straight forward. Plug in USB-C power supply at the bottom, code/finger pri t and boom, you're in. Now carries a power pack? Well, if you want in and forgot about the notification of low battery, you will get a very small battery pack and keep it in you glove compartment. Very simple and a great product.

Having owned the old Wyze Lock, the new Wyze Lock Bolt is an overall improvement! The lock opens and closes more quickly and smoothly. The finger pad allows for more entry options and even easier entry when hands are full.
One main disadvantage is the lack of ability to program it with other Wyze devices such as turning lights on outside or turning the doorbell camera on. The other is that the lock doesn’t seem to “look” to make sure the door is closed before the bolt activates . So sometimes you are in the middle of closing the door, the bolt locks mid air and by the time the door closes, it slams since the bolt is out. The previous version did not have this issue.

Great technology for the price. Install took about 10-minutes. It could have went faster if I followed directions. Definitely recommend. It comes with batteries and you just need to install the Wyze app and make an account, if you have not already.

We bought this to replace the deadbolt on the back door. The deadbolt requires a key to lock and unlock. Now we don’t have to carry a key to access the door. Key code and finger prints work well!
