Well designed product for the Wyze line. Only complaint to date that I have is that the battery discharges at a far faster rate than that of their other cameras. Also, the door that one must open to change the battery should be easier to open. I find that you nearly need to remove the camera from its mounting to open the door to change the battery.
The advertised features are very good but the documentation and software are not ready for prime time. No user manual and no definition of terms is available. For example: Is "Recording Cooldown" really related to thermal concerns or is it just a cutesy name for a delay between recording events? Are enhanced products like this (with wireless, battery/solar panel powered) coming? I need a detection range of 50 foot or greater to cover large expanses.
Since I have no electrical outlet this works great with the solar panel once the battery dropped below 90% the solar panel kicked in and kept it at 100% the light really helps in unlocking the door at night, I would definitely recommend.
It’s great in so many ways compared to the previous model
First is it does not need a base station, second it has a removable battery that charges with usb c then third is it has a very bright built in light, fourth is it comes with a wall or ceiling mounting kit and last is it has colored night vision
The only down side is you would need to buy an adapter to use your old solar panel which is not bad but I wish it was mentioned so I could have ordered it at the same time
One of my cameras continues to go off line. It is sitting about 2 ft away from a second camera. they are pointing in opposite directions. The second camera does not go offline
My first of these failed. It would never power on. I charged battery and reset device. The company sent me another. With the first I noticed it dropped the wi-fi connection frequently so I bought a wi-fi and installed it near the camera. This camera still drops wi-fi connections regularly.
