The cameras kick on and record only about half of the time. Very disappointed that I'm paying so much a year for all of these cameras and not getting the full benefits.
This camera has been working well on a trail behind my garage for several months. About 100' from the wifi router inside. The battery is backed up by the solar panel but remains at 100% despite short winter days. I wish it was made in a more subtle color than brilliant white or pitch black. I have used "skins" on other Wyze cameras but they are not very nice
Don't forget to adjust your detection settings! Okay so mine wasn't working the way I wanted at first, people would walk right by it, and I wouldn't get a notification. I know because I would find packages close to where I had the camera mounted. Once I adjusted my detection settings the camera worked beautifully. Battery life has been great compared to the other name brand camera I had up there. Battery has gone down to 70 over the last 3 weeks. I can't tell you how well the light works because I have over lights around it so they come on and this one has only come on one time. I think the light was pretty decent. lol
Happy that Wyze finally came out with a battery version of their new cameras for areas of property where there are no electrical lines, but sufficient Wi-Fi signal. It's provided good intel on domestic and wild animal patterns, etc.. Only complaint is the battery life.is much shorter than advertised. After 10 days, it's already in the 80%, so it'll probably give 2 months of service before needing a recharge. With a solar panel, it may not require a recharge with minimal use.
I have several Wyze Cams, I got this item since it has rechargeable interchangeable battery pack, I also got the battery charging dock, I have had it a few days, I have not use all its features yet, battery life is good on battery saver mode, but only last 20 hours with continuous recording to SD card, I like on my plug in models
