Had trouble getting the solar panel to work at first. Switched out the battery and was able to get it charging. Other than that the camera works great.
Received my WYZE Battery Cam Pro about one week ago and love it. It’s mounted on a wooden post about 10ft from our pond and has rewarded me with great recordings of many birds and squirrels, a pair of fox, and a surprise raccoon pair.
Camera signal is fine 95ft from WiFi and through one wood-shingled house wall. Motion detector is sensitive beyond the advertised 30ft range and Illumination is good at 15-20ft and enables some recording well beyond that. Easy setup, battery charge is lasting well in below-freezing MD winter weather (15sec recordings), remote charge monitor is helpful, and nice design and construction. Delighted with purchase.
These cameras are easy to charge, easy to install, but what’s weird is they skip. They don’t always capture people walking the entire time. it captures them at the beginning or the end but if they walk directly in front of camera you only get a snapshot, it’s weird. I have them set for 15 seconds but they won’t record the entire 15 seconds. 15 is a long time. I also have SD cards in them and they don’t record any more than the camera. They aren’t great, but they don’t suck. They are very clear when they do record. I wish they adjusted to the dark a little better. Maybe the Wyze can share how to fix all of these little issues. I have the service but I don’t know what good it does if the cameras don’t capture something you need it to capture.
Battery doesn't last very long. Motion isn't triggered when camera is behind a window.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

-Confirm that your camera’s firmware is up to date and the Wyze app is up to date. -Ensure you’re using the charging cable that came with your Wyze Battery Cam Pro. -Verify that you’re using a 5V 2A power adapter.

Viewing area is great. I use solar panels and keep a charge for a week during storms. Once you get the angle and detection zone set you will love the clarity, viewing, and recording sound! Highly recommend
Easy set up. Cameras are very good quality. You do have to get cam plus to see video recording. If you dont get cam plus, all you get is a picture shot.
