The camera and solar panel are perfect. Beyond the short screw and the hookup point. Why the two star. One word. Cloud. Ever since you'll updated the app, the cloud storage has never worked even when I switched over to my camera plus subscription. Worthless. May ended up unscribing and put in the SD cards at this rate

Good for outdoors, or locations without power

Convenient camera without the confinement of a wire to plug it, however, doesn't have long range wifi, so the distance it can be installed at is still limited.

Overall this is a good product and I will buy more. The biggest shortcoming is that has a 30' range for detecting motion. This is too short. The flood light (or spot light) is unnecessary. Leave it off.

Disappointed with video download (in)ability

Disappointing, in that it is not easy (or really possible) to download video from this camera. Note that I don't have a subscription with Wyze; I just use memory chips. My older cams work great and I can download video easily. But they don't make those anymore, so I had to buy this one. There is a very convoluted process to download video that involves "recording" it on your phone. But when you try to record it, there are a bunch of shapes that appear in the video (green rectangles) seemingly to draw attention to person recognition, that obscure parts of the video. So I sent them back. Hoping they work on this an make downloading as easy as it is on the older cameras.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
